• What is Nanuu?

Nanuu’s mission is to support underprivileged and disenfranchised immigrant women in the Belmont area in the Bronx.

Our goal is to empower them to be agents of change in their lives, families, and communities.

  • Why we do it?

The City of New York has recognized and supported the need to provide training to immigrants as means to help members of migrant communities improve their livelihoods.

Nanuu was born as a response to these needs, particularly those of immigrant women who lack opportunities to fully integrate into our society. We work to provide them with tools to actively participate in the workforce, ensuring their paths to self-sufficiency, permanency and safety..

59% are Hispanic, and 62% of the people speak a language other than English at home
